About Me

I’m Jane Lee, founder of QuietLee Nonlinear.

I work with organisations across government, education, health, and for-purpose sectors to improve strategy implementation, organisational alignment, governance, communication, and operational effectiveness.

I am a strategic systems consultant, organisational anthropologist, and human‑centred implementation specialist working with organisations where strategy, communication, and delivery are not fully aligned.

My work focuses on the space between strategy and reality.

I bring more than 20 years of experience across:

  • government

  • education

  • health

  • regulated industries

  • for‑purpose organisations

I’ve worked across frontline operations, governance, program leadership, strategy, evaluation, and organisational design — giving me a systems‑level understanding of how organisations function under pressure.

Academic Foundations:

  • Bachelor of Social Science (Anthropology and Sociology)

  • Master of Bioethics

  • Master of Public Health

  • Graduate qualifications in Evaluation and Law

How I Work

My approach is grounded in systems thinking, behavioural insight, organisational anthropology, implementation strategy, and practical evaluation.

I do not arrive with rigid frameworks or generic solutions. Every organisation operates within its own history, pressures, relationships, and constraints.

My role is to help organisations identify patterns, clarify priorities, reduce friction, and create practical pathways forward.

What You Can Expect

  • Calm, structured analysis

  • Practical, actionable recommendations

  • Clear communication without unnecessary jargon

  • Clarity in complex environments

  • Respect for context, people, and constraints

  • Strategic thinking grounded in operational reality

  • Honest conversations focused on progress

This is work designed to create clarity, momentum, and sustainable implementation. It is work that helps you move forward.

“I was particularly impressed by Jane’s capacity to work across so many different areas at once. While this is daunting, it seemed to come perfectly naturally to her—and seamlessly.”

-Senior Program Manager, Education Sector

My Story. Why QuietLee Nonlinear Exist.

My understanding of systems was shaped long before professional experience.

I am a 1.5-generation Hmong-Australian born in a refugee camp in Thailand after my mother fled the aftermath of war in Southeast Asia.

When my family became the first Hmong family to settle in Canberra, I learned early how systems shape people — and how people adapt, survive, and organise themselves within complexity.

Living across cultures, and later working and studying in the United States, deepened my understanding of:

  • communication,

  • power,

  • adaptation,

  • organisational behaviour,

  • and collective decision-making.

As a quiet introvert, I spent much of my career being told I was “too quiet.”

Over time, I realised quiet was not absence.

It was observation.
Pattern recognition.
Systems awareness.
Strategic clarity beneath noise.

My career was intentionally nonlinear.

Working across disciplines, sectors, and organisational environments taught me that meaningful change is rarely neat, linear, or predictable.

That understanding became the foundation of QuietLee Nonlinear.

Values in Practice

QuietLee Nonlinear was built on the belief that healthy systems create healthier organisations, stronger communities, and better outcomes for people.

These values shape how I analyse complexity, guide decision-making, and help organisations turn strategy into practical action.

The goal is never change for the sake of change.
The goal is to create clear, sustainable progress that holds under real-world conditions.

01 Resilience

Strengthening systems, cultures, and leadership practices so organisations can adapt, endure, and perform under pressure.

02 Renewal

Helping organisations reset priorities, realign people and operations, and regain strategic momentum.

04 Integrity

Aligning strategy, behaviour, communication, and decision-making so organisations consistently act in line with their values.

03 Transformation

Turning insight into meaningful change through practical, human-centred implementation that lasts.

04 Collective Intelligence

Bringing together diverse perspectives, lived experience, and shared insight to build stronger strategy and better outcomes.
